A North Carolina native, Alejandro grew up in Statesville NC. Spending plenty of time in the WNC mountains, AJ returned to Asheville to pursue further education at the University of North Carolina at Asheville. He is often heard saying the WNC mountains are home even though it was a little flat where he grew up. He enjoys hiking, kayaking, camping, and driving along the Blue Ridge Parkway with his furry sidekick Bentley.
